Self-Control and Temperance

From The King James Bible
Scripture calls believers to temperance — disciplined mastery of appetites, passions, and tongue — as a fruit of the Spirit and a mark of mature faith. Like an athlete, the Christian exercises restraint to obtain an incorruptible crown.
