Love (Agape and Philia)

From The King James Bible
The New Testament distinguishes agape (sacrificial, self-giving divine love) from philia (warm friendship love), both modeled and commanded by Christ. God's love revealed in Christ is the source and pattern for love between believers.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God so loved (agape) the world, that he gave his only begotten Son.
