The Helmet of Mambrino

From Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes
Quixote attacks a barber and seizes his brass basin, insisting it is the legendary golden helmet of Mambrino; the object becomes the novel's emblem of perspectival reality (baciyelmo).
Part 1, Chapter 21

Quixote insists on the helmet; later (Ch. 44-45) the company invents the compromise word 'baciyelmo' (basin-helmet).
